One third of firms suffered a distruption from trading as a result of crime commited against them whilst a quarter of firms have seen insurance costs increase and staff morale damaged.
An effective deterrent
A visible, uniformed guard can often be the most effective deterrent to criminal activity in or around your business premises. They also make people feel safe, secure and calm. At BusinessWatch we provide highly trained, professional and discreet guards on a flexible basis to meet the needs and resource requirements of a wide variety of companies; from small manufacturing or construction sites through to large multi-site businesses requiring manned receptions or security centres.
The common aspect of everything we do is based on consultation, planning and commitment to our clients’ values and goals. We take time to understand your requirements through a detailed Risk Assessment and then carefully select suitably qualified guards to fit with your business culture and security mission.
We are committed to on-going training of our guards to ensure that all front line staff understand legal complexities, act with sensitivity and remain vigilant to the changing safety legislation and criminal threats. All security personnel at BusinessWatch are SIA licensed, fully vetted by the Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) and security screened to BS 7858:2006. BusinessWatch itself is part of the SIA Approved Contractor Scheme, a voluntary service which provides a recognised hallmark of quality for suppliers of private security services.
Static guards
Vigilance is the key to crime prevention and having a permanent guard on the premises, particularly for larger businesses, can be a cost effective measure. BusinessWatch can provide security guards for a few hours each day, or for a round-the-clock presence. We can even supply a highly visible and transportable security unit for isolated premises or construction sites. In all cases we will listen and respond to your needs precisely.
Mobile patrols
Many companies do not need a permanent guard presence but instead prefer the deterrent of random visits by uniformed mobile patrol units. Our BusinessWatch mobile patrols offer companies a highly visible presence for office environments, depots, derelict sites and construction projects.
The service is tailored to meet our clients’ needs and may even include the monitoring of air conditioning, boiler settings and computer equipment. Often we are asked to conduct routine internal patrols to close windows and ensure equipment has been turned off. In the past, these duties have saved our clients money and averted major fire and security incidents.
In addition, our mobile patrols act as backup to our static guards for major incidents. Our mobile patrol service is combined with our key holding and emergency alarm response service for added support and security.
Dog Section
The BusinessWatch Dog Section allows us to provide greater security on site and can cope with special requirements such as drug detection in night clubs and bars. When managed safely and expertly, dogs offer an additional security option at events where there may be large crowds or for highly visible patrols around business premises.
Key holding and emergency response
If your business has an alarm fitted, by law you are required to have two key holders within 20 minutes of your premises. Many companies find this difficult to provide for, or do not wish for their staff to take on the responsibility - it’s no fun for anyone being called out at 3am in the midst of winter. BusinessWatch provides a key holding and emergency response service that takes this burden away from our clients. It ensures a rapid call-out time, secures your property and supports police attendance.
